FORGIVENESS – When Life Is Made Out of Choices Rather Than Feelings!

FORGIVENESS – When Life Is Made Out of Choices Rather Than Feelings!

Holding a grudge goes not only against everything that the Lord Jesus Christ taught in the bible but is also prejudicial to any one who wishes to move forward and have a blessed future. The more you hold on to the memories and hurt of the past the more you become a slave of it making the journey of life forever bitter and sad.

You may find many reasons in your heart not to forgive but it is only when you use you head and make a wise decision (The decision to let go) that the process of forgiveness begins. What are the benefits of hating? Did you find any? I don’t think so! Everyone who hates becomes a prisoner of the one he hates but whoever forgives sets himself above the one forgiven.

To forgive may be something very difficult for the human heart but when we renew our mind in the truth of God’s words, He makes the impossible become possible.

Holding a grudge is like drinking rat poison and expecting that the rat will die instead.

Grudges and feelings of resentments will do harm to none, but your-self! No matter how much you may express your hatred towards someone else, the impact of this hatred will always bounce stronger upon your life. Your hatred does not kill your enemies it only empowers them. Do you get the point? While you boil inside with resentments the person who hurt you walks freely towards an enjoyable future.

What I am trying to say today is that you have to let your head overcome this battle against the heart. Be more rational and less emotional, life is not made of feelings but of choices. Choose what is best for you! This is what the bible says about the center of human feelings… “The heart”

"The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?" Jeremiah 17:9 Cast every feeling of resentments away from your heart!

The Lord Jesus Christ taught us in His words that; “ For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins”. Matthew 6:14-15

Forgiveness goes far beyond an act of kindness but it is also a condition to those who want to enter the Kingdom of heaven… “for if we do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins”

Let go of all the hurt, failures and memories of this life and set your eyes on the promise that God has made for you.

“This is what the Lord says – the Redeemer and Holy One of Israel – to him who was despised and abhorred by the nation, to the servant of rulers: ‘Kings will see you and stand up, princes will see and bow down, because of the Lord, who is faithful, the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.’
(Isaiah 49:7)

(Juan 16:33).
