In a land far away there were two wise men.
One of them was very poor, lived in a thatched hut, had only two dishes, two thongs, one blanket. The other wise man was very rich, lived in a luxurious castle, with all the goods he could desire. And the rich wise man found out about the poor wise man and decided meet him to see what the other knew and how he lived.
The rich wise man spent a week at the cottage of the poor wise man. While the poor wise man was spending a week in the palace of the rich wise man. On the second day the poor wise man was passing by the palace of the rich wise man and they decided to go for a walk in the woods but when they returned they saw the palace in flames …
The desperate poor wise man started to say: look at the palace burning, everything will burn and be destroyed! The rich wise man said I’m not worried because God gave me everything and I know He will give me everything again. And the poor wise man still desperate said, but there will be nothing left! And the rich wise man said I don’t care, I trust in God and everything happens for our own good. And the desperate poor wise man said: but my thong was there
Now we can understand why one was poor and the other was so rich…
