On a Sunday afternoon, the father and his two sons arrive at the amusement park, and head to the box office, where the father asks:
“Hello, good afternoon. How much is the entrance?”
“It is £20.00 for you and for every child over six years old. The entrance is free if they are six years or less. How old are they?”
“The smallest is three and the biggest seven years old,” said the father.
The guy at the box office then commented:
“You know, if you had said that the eldest was six, I would not have noticed the difference, and you could have saved £20.00.”
The father then said:
“It’s true, you would not have noticed the difference, but my kids would have known that I lied.”
Attitudes teach more than words…
